Carpatho-Rus' is a mountainous area along the border of Slovakia and Ukraine. People from there have been known by a variety of terms over the years, including Ruthenians and Carpatho-Ruysns. The area has seen a variety of names, including Subcarpathian Rus, Transcarpathia, Carpathian Ukraine and more.
