Record Types: These 137 surnames are all noble families. Some of these genealogies include the armorials (heraldry) possessed by that family line. In some cases, the family names listed below are the first or last names on that specific microfilm. As such, they may represent only a small fraction of the many family names contained on many of these microfilm reels. Some of these reels and the books deal with one primary family surname. Others represent collections on 3, 5 and 8 reels. In most cases, the second film number indicates there was a second filming of the collection that this genealogy is a part of. One of the several reasons for duplicate fiming includes the fact that on occasion the quality on the first film was considered substandard by the FHL cataloger and did not meet GSU/FHL standards.
